I'm new to blogging so I thought I would do a question Blog to get some responses. I've been with SLAGA a little less than a year and know people mostly by their IDs rather than their names. I'm curious why some people chose their particular IDs. I'll start.
When my daughter and I got started in geocaching, I wanted her to be involved as much as possible. When I asked her what our ID should be she immediately want 2_cats. OK I put the underscore in, force of habit from my job. (No files on our system can have spaces). The reason for the ID is because we have 2 cats named Peaches and Patches. She wants me to change the license plate on my truck to read 2 cats, but I'm too cheap to change it. Any way, she thought because we are two caches we should be called 2 cats. Some day she will have to get her own name. She wants to keep 2_cats, but I don't want to have to relog all those caches (500 by then??) with a new name so she can choose a new ID for herself. Our cats would probably love to go caching with us since they seem to love the outdoors. They are always trying to escape. But because they don't have front claws, I can't let them out. Too bad.
