A newbie at MOGA '07, I have traversed many hills and valleys, forests and prairies, city streets and public parks in the last six months. Accompanied in all by Lil Sis Jo, who is a tiger when it comes to the hunt. A tiger with an eagle eye...... We set a goal of 100 by Christmas that short six months ago when we had found a grand total of six. We have upgraded that now to 200 by Christmas as we now have 130 plus.

I read of the hundreds and thousands found by others and am awed by the amount of time and effort that must require. I am also invigorated feeling some of the excitement of the hunt and find as the numbers mounted.

Our first search at MOGA '07 was for Rocky IV hidden by Lancelot. We did not find it but it is memorable! Just this past weekend we started talking about it and lauged until the tears came. I kept losing my footing and tumbled around like a roly-poly on the wet, slippery rocks. I very nearly went into the lake a couple of times. At that time I was so out of shape I could barely get up by myself. Reminded me of trying to get up with snow skies strapped on my feet. No way!!

Well, I have toughened up since then...to some degree at least. We just finished out Spongy's series of four Guns, Germs and  Steel in Columbia. That was no small undertaking as shown by the small number of folks who have completed the course.

Now word that MOGA '08 is on its way in March. I can't wait!
